Whats a phage?
Why did we pick a phage?
A Bacteriophage is a type of virus that kills bacteria by grabbing on to them then sticking a stick like appendage into the germ, the virus then inserts a substance that acts like an explosive egg that breaks through the bacterias protective coat hatching brand new phages to follow the footsteps of their parents.
We chose the phage because although they are not harmful to humans (or any animal for that matter) the phage is still the deadliest organism that we know of. Phages are responsible for the death of 60% of all bacteria in the ocean every day which puts them in number one spot.
